Why copying pros fails
Effective sensitivity equals DPI multiplied by in game sens, divided by how far you move your arm. A pro with a huge mousepad plays at 400 DPI because he swings his whole arm. Copying his numbers onto a small pad wrecks your aim.
Find your eDPI range
Start around 800 DPI with low in game sens for tactical shooters, or higher DPI for fast arena games. Then adjust only the in game slider until a full swipe turns you roughly 180 degrees. Write down what works and stop changing weekly.
- Set Windows pointer speed to the middle sixth notch
- Disable enhanced pointer precision permanently
- Match your desktop DPI to your main game DPI
- Keep polling rate at maximum your board supports
- Change one variable at a time, never all at once
Gear matters less than consistency
Any modern sensor like the PAW3395 in the VXE R1 tracks perfectly at these settings. Muscle memory builds around stable numbers, so pick sensible values today and give them a month before judging.
