The problem with a normal keypress
On a regular keyboard, a key registers when it reaches its actuation point and resets only after it comes back up to a reset point. That return travel takes time. Repeated taps are limited by how fast the key physically returns.
What Rapid Trigger changes
Rapid Trigger ignores the fixed reset point. The key registers on the way down and resets almost immediately on the way up, at the same position or a tiny distance below it. You can tap the same key much faster, which is exactly what strafing and counter-strafing need.
Adjustable actuation in practice
With adjustable actuation you choose how far the key must travel before it registers. A shallow setting makes light touches count, which feels responsive but can cause typos. A deeper setting reduces accidental presses. Per-key adjustment lets you tune WASD shallow and other keys deeper.
Where it helps in games
FPS players gain the most: rapid peeking, counter-strafing and re-clicking are all faster. Rhythm games and any game that rewards fast key repetition also benefit. For strategy games where accidental presses hurt, deeper actuation is the better tuning.

Is it a real advantage?
